It’s the last day of announcements for the Disney Destiny, and we’re going out in true super hero fashion. Marvel experiences have arrived!
In case you missed it, Disney Cruise Line has embarked on three days of epic announcements revealing the Disney Destiny, the new heroes and villains-inspired ship! From July 30 through Aug. 1, 2024, stay tuned to Theme Park Pals to find out everything you need to know about this marvelous addition to the fleet. Now, on to Day 3!
Like Loki, the Disney Destiny is destined for glorious purpose.
Today, we’re revealing all the epic ways you’ll be able to interact with the legendary Marvel Universe aboard our new heroes and villains-themed ship. The Disney Destiny will be home to new spaces and experiences inspired by Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Tony Stark and the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers.
Plus, to round out our three-day unveiling of the Disney Destiny, we’re sharing which guest-favorite venues, entertainment and recreation from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure will also be featured aboard this ship!
Living a Legend – Wakanda Forever
The Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny will be its most striking and prominent gathering space, welcoming you to a world of epic dualities: heroes and villains, adventure and relaxation. Inspired by the rich lore, distinctive style and vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films, the Grand Hall will be Disney Cruise Line’s kingdom on the seas.
Presiding over the Grand Hall will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda, devoted son and beloved brother sworn to protect his kingdom — and the Disney Destiny.
Just off the Grand Hall on decks four and five, you will be able to write your own vacation legends at Saga, a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events in an elevated environment also inspired by the architecture of Wakanda.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Ship Decorator?
For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny. This signature larger-than-life sculpture will showcase Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, who are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs.
Supreme Location, Strange Libations
The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.” Like all Sanctorums, this centrally located venue will contain mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world – but it will also be home to entertainment; a magical array or cocktails, spirits and coffees; and unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.
Tony Stark-Approved Luxury
In true Iron Man style, the Destiny Tower Suite will take the heroes and villains motif to new heights — literally. This Marvel-inspired penthouse will honor Iron Man with a luxurious take on the sleek, industrial designs of Tony Stark. Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will offer incredible views of the top deck and beyond through an expansive two-story window and nearly 2,000 square feet of living space.
The Destiny Tower Suite and all concierge-level accommodations will receive a premium level of dedicated service and access to exclusive areas and amenities, including the Concierge Lounge and private sun deck. On the Disney Destiny, the lounge will be outfitted with art that celebrates the Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and will be inspired by the sophisticated styling of their Manhattan headquarters. This hero-worthy retreat will be the perfect place to relax, sip a cocktail, and enjoy complimentary food and beverages throughout the day.
It’s Time to Save the Galaxy (Again)
The Disney Destiny will also feature two guest-favorite experiences from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure that are inspired by the Marvel Universe.
Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host an out-of-this-world celebration starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the blockbuster Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. During a tribute to the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe, Groot will take over the proceedings and bring the festivities to the next level, organizing the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket — just in time for dessert. The story will unfold onscreen while you eat to the beat of an “awesome mix” of hit songs and test your knowledge of the Marvel Universe with trivia and activities for the whole family.
In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids ages 3 to 10 will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Super Heroes alongside some of their favorite Avengers.
But Wait, There’s More!
In addition to all of the exciting new spaces and experiences coming to the Disney Destiny, many of your favorite venues and entertainment offerings from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure will also return. Epic Entertainment Bringing Disney Lore to Life
On every Disney Cruise Line ship, each deck is brimming with entertainment, and the Disney Destiny will be no different. On this ship, you and your family can:
- Catch dazzling Broadway-style productions of “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular”and “Disney Seas the Adventure” in the Walt Disney Theatre. The former is a whimsical retelling of the iconic Disney Animation film, while the latter is an original Disney Cruise Line show featuring Captain Minnie Mouse, Goofy and a host of beloved Disney and Pixar characters.
- Dance the night away at Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, a roguish nighttime spectacular featuring a live rock band and Disney Cruise Line’s famous fireworks at sea.
- Get in the middle of the action at Hero Zone, a futuristic sports arena where your family can compete in “The Incredibles”-themed obstacle courses and free-play sports.
- Use your mobile device tojoin favorite Disney and Pixar heroes on virtual quests throughout the ship Disney Uncharted Adventure will be an interactive experience that uses your mobile device to.
- Watch first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and more at the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas.
Imaginative Family Dining
The Disney Destiny will continue Disney Cruise Line’s innovative family dining concept, where you experience one of three imaginative restaurants each night accompanied by a dedicated service team assigned to your family throughout the voyage, allowing you to truly ‘be our guest!’
In addition to the brand-new Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King and the return of Worlds of Marvel, your family will dine in style at 1923. Named for the founding year of The Walt Disney Company, 1923 will celebrate the legacy of Disney animation in an elegant setting imbued with classic Hollywood glamour. With more than 1,000 drawings, props and other tools of the animation trade on display, the artwork on the Disney Destiny will showcase tales of heroes and villains in “Hercules,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Big Hero 6,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” and more.
Adult-Exclusive Escapes
Whether you’re looking for fine dining or to treat yourself, the Disney Destiny has a little something for every adult onboard.
- A suite of premium dining venues will include Palo Steakhouse, combining authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, offering gourmet, French-inspired cuisine in a romantic and intimate setting; and The Rose, an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail.
- Senses Spa will provide a tranquil oasis offering indulgent spa and beauty treatments in private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms, while Senses Fitness will offer a state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facility.
- Untangled Salon will be a chic venue for high-end hairstyling and beauty services, and Hook’s Barbery will be a unique twist on a traditional men’s salon with a “hidden” bar.
Feats of Fun Under the Sun
You are destined to ride, fly, chase the wind and touch the sky on the stunning upper decks of the Disney Destiny, where three distinctly themed districts will offer fun water features, quick and casual dining options, and plenty of space to relax and soak up the sun.
- In an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends, you and your family will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and the AquaMouse.
- Little cruisers will delight in a water wonderland themed to Pixar’s “Toy Story,” including a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide and smoothie bar.
- Adults will indulge in sun-drenched serenity at Quiet Cove, a peaceful refuge set away from the bustle of family activities that will feature a luxurious infinity pool, poolside bar and chic café.
‘Main Character Energy’ for Kids, Tweens and Teens
Aboard the Disney Destiny, your children will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures. Dedicated spaces for kids of all ages will offer imaginative programming facilitated with the care and expertise of Disney-trained counselors and special playtime with Disney friends.
- Children ages 3 to 10 will enter the captivating worlds of favorite Disney stories at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a wonderland of immersive spaces themed to Marvel Super Heroes, Disney princesses, Star Wars heroes, Disney Imagineers, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
- It’s a Small World Nursery will offer babysitting services for little cruisers aged 6 months to 3 years in a whimsical environment inspired by the beloved Disney attraction.
- At Edge, tweens ages 11 to 13 will have fun, make friends and play games in a bright, colorful hangout inspired by a New York City loft.
- For guests ages 14 to 17, Vibe will be a trendy loft where teens can meet new friends, watch movies, play games and participate in group activities created just for them.
So, now that you’ve learned all the exciting things coming to this new ship, you may be wondering: When can I embark on my own heroic journey aboard the Disney Destiny – and where will my quest take me? (Aka when can I book a sailing on the Disney Destiny?)

The Disney Destiny will sail year-round from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning in November 2025. The ship will embark on an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.
And, best of all … your legend begins very soon! Castaway Club members can secure an inaugural season spot as early as Sept. 6, 2024, and bookings go on sale to the general public on Sept. 12, 2024.
