The Disneyland app is a must for guests visiting the Disneyland Resort. It has planning tools and resources for guests to make the most of their trip, such as viewing park maps and entertainment schedules, mobile ordering food and beverages, viewing their Disney PhotoPass photos and more.
The app continues to receive updates to make the guest experience even more fun at the parks. Here are some of the latest and greatest features to check out! (Make sure to have the latest version of the Disneyland app.)
Remember where you parked using the new car locator feature – coming later this month to the Disneyland app
This complimentary feature, presented by State Farm, will use Location Services to find and save parking information at the Mickey & Friends parking structure, Pixar Pals parking structure, Toy Story parking area and Simba parking lot. It works best when Location Services, Bluetooth technology and Notifications are enabled on the guest’s mobile device, but if they don’t have Location Services on, they can manually enter their parking details. Either way, it’s a helpful reminder at the end of the day!
Snap a selfie in augmented reality with new Disney PhotoPass Lenses – available starting today
In addition to unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads, audio tales and the ability to select the next available Lightning Lane entry window, one at a time, for select attractions**, the purchase of Disney Genie+ service now includes access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the Disneyland app*** – some of which are unique to Disneyland Resort! Initially launched at Walt Disney World Resort in collaboration with Snap, these interactive photo moments immerse guests in Disney stories and make their park memories even more magical. The video below shows how guests can take an underwater photo with Marlin and Dory, pose with Grogu and more using augmented reality.
Save time at select Disneyland Resort shops with merchandise mobile checkout
For a speedier in-store shopping experience at select merchandise locations, guests can scan and pay for select items right from their phone using the Disneyland app. Storing a payment option, like a credit card, to a Disney account adds even more convenience. When they’re done shopping, guests will show their QR confirmation code and selected items to a cast member at the designated exit, and they’re all set! World of Disney in Downtown Disney District, Emporium at Disneyland park and Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park are among the many shops that offer merchandise mobile checkout.
Ask a question using in-app chat
When guests have a question, help is just a few taps away! Select the Chat with Us option in the main menu of the Disneyland app, and a cast member will be able to assist via in-app messaging with inquiries including general theme park information, tickets and ticket linking, account troubleshooting and more. This feature is accessible 24 hours a day and cast members will respond during normal operating hours, between 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. PT.
Thank a cast member with mobile cast compliments
If guests would like to express their gratitude to a cast member, they can search “cast compliment” in the Disneyland app, choose one of the positive sentiments from the drop-down menu and select the location. There will also be the option to enter the date of an interaction and the cast member’s first name and hometown (as it appears on their nametag).
